Help Centre

How ParLocal works under the hood: the live formats, the Compass, spheres, your agent, privacy and verification.

Every article here describes what the product actually does. When something does not yet work a certain way, this centre would rather have no page than the wrong one.

Live experiences

  • The live formatsThere are five live formats β€” Cast, Arena, Match Show, Blind Live and Challenge β€” and each one runs by its own rules; it is not the same show under different names.
  • CastA hosted experience with applications, green room, stage, audience and post-live continuity.
  • ArenaA room you open yourself: participants ask to come up on stage, and the host β€” which is you β€” decides who goes up and who comes down.
  • Match ShowLive conversations that end in a crossed decision: each person answers in private whether they want to continue, and only what is mutual becomes public.
  • Blind LiveThe conversation starts without a face: presence, interests and voice come first, and the reveal happens in agreed phases, not by surprise.
  • ChallengeIt is not a show: it is the recruiting mechanism that feeds the other formats β€” someone proposes a challenge, people sign up within a window, the audience backs them and the proposer selects.
  • What gets recorded and who can see itNot every live session becomes an available recording: an Arena's default publishes no replay, and in a Cast the decision about your recording is yours and is kept on record.

Compatibility and agent

  • The CompassA map of eight dimensions of what you declared you want and what your choices have shown β€” it is not a personality test and it passes no verdict on anyone.
  • My AgentAn assistant that looks for and assesses connections for you, within an autonomy level you choose β€” and that never pretends to be you.

Communities

  • SpheresCommunities where people meet by subject and by place before there is a match β€” context comes first, and the conversation starts with a reason.

Privacy and data

  • Private messagesOne-to-one conversations are end-to-end encrypted on your device, with cryptography resistant to quantum computers β€” the server carries them, it does not read them.
  • Privacy and your dataThe profile is born anonymous, each Compass answer has its own visibility, and exporting or deleting the account are your own actions, with a deadline and a way back.

Safety

  • Photo and age verificationA selfie with two gestures requested on the spot, analyzed inside the server itself: the answer is immediate and the badge sits on the photo that matched, not on a generic medal.
